Our efforts are guided by the following principles:
- Seek to understand the unique history, traditions, culture, and perspectives of the respective Indigenous communities with whom we interact.
- Actively listen and learn to enable transparent, open dialogue and facilitate timely and meaningful consultation.
- Collaboratively support opportunities to encourage positive outcomes within Indigenous communities, including training, employment, and business opportunities related to our activities.
Working together
Building positive relationships with Indigenous nations and communities in our operating areas helps us identify meaningful opportunities to support social and economic well-being. We actively seek opportunities to build capacity through education, training, and work experience, and we are committed to increasing the involvement of Indigenous businesses and partners in our supply chain. Our commitment to Reconciliation
Keyera continues to solidify our commitment to working alongside Indigenous Peoples. We are intentionally building our understanding of the history of Indigenous Peoples in Canada and are working together towards a better future. As part of our journey, we have taken the step to formally establish Keyera’s Commitment to Reconciliation.
