Frequently asked questions
Who is considered a new grad?
Anyone who has graduated or will be graduating within 24 months of the position’s start date is eligible to apply. We recognize that finding professional work directly after graduation can be difficult, and therefore have increased our graduation period to accommodate.
How do I know if the role is rotational or non-rotational?
Each job posting will indicate if the role is rotational or non-rotational in the position description. If you cannot locate the information in the job posting or have any additional questions, please contact [email protected] for support.
What is the different about the Engineer in Training roles compared to other new Grads?
Due to the requirements set forward by APEGA, EITs require additional working experience before they are able to acquire their P.Eng. For this reason, all EIT roles will be four-years in length and will start with a 24 month rotation. This allows for additional time to build a foundational knowledge base before moving into new rotations.
If I am interested in more than one New Grad role, should I apply for both?
Absolutely! Due to our hiring practices, we can only consider applicants who submit an application for each role, meaning you will need to submit individual applications to each position you are interested in applying for.
I am interested in applying, but I don’t see any roles posted. When will the next round be available?
New Grad positions will typically be posted on our Current Opportunities page in October of each year for a May start. The postings typically close early to mid-November. Specific closing dates will be listed on each job posting. Throughout the year following our typical recruitment cycle, roles may become available so we encourage you to check in on our Current Opportunities page regularly.
If I have any questions about the roles posted, who should I contact?
Please direct any and all questions to [email protected].
